History

In 2012, the Kieninger clock factory celebrated its 100th anniversary. Kieninger was founded in 1912 by Joseph Kieninger (1872-1936) in the Black Forest and is thus the oldest existing manufacturer of mechanical movements for grandfather, wall and table clocks in the world.

Unique clocks in connection with the craft traditions of the 20th century.

Since 1917, the company has been located in Aldingen, a charming community between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb. Here, in a new building constructed in 1991, the company now employs around 50 dedicated and highly qualified specialists on 6,000 square metres.

From 1993, Kieninger belonged to the American Howard Miller Group, the
largest grandfather clock manufacturer in the world.

From the very beginning, Kieninger stuck to its original concept - the manufacture of technically sophisticated, high-quality mechanical movements and clocks.

This has proven to be a path to success. It can therefore come as no surprise that Kieninger is today renowned for its craftsmanship and for manufacturing products of the highest quality. Many Kieninger clocks are among the classics of the industry.

With our selected collection of special floor, wall and table clocks, we offer you unique clocks of the highest quality and individual design.

At the beginning of 2021, Kuma GmbH was founded by four new shareholders. With their experience in management, production and the watch industry, they will continue to produce Kieninger products together in the future.
